Critically evaluate how the negative impacts of converging technology will be minimised within the proposed campaign Within this report, I will be critically evaluating how my proposed product will minimise the negative impacts of converging technology. I will discuss the possible negative effects the consistent use of my product could have on my target audience and other consumers. Furthermore, I will explain how I plan to avoid or prevent creating these negative effects for the benefit and health of my customers. In addition, I will mention the key problems my product might have on society as well as talk about some key passive audience theory and how my product could prove them. I will explain how we are going to counteract the in my product before concluding.   In 1947, Adorno and Horkheimer created the hypodermic syringe theory a type of passive audience theory which implies that media has a negative effect. A part of this theory states how mass audiences believe everything they

LO5 P9: Explain analysed feedback for project feasibility

Explain analysed feedback for project feasibility  Feedback from Anne Doncaster: This is a summary of what she said in the video during my presentation of the product: She liked my idea  Thought it was really well researched  She liked the separation that the website was for more general advice whereas the mobile app was for more personal experience Feedback from the Class:  I sent out a survey I created to my class members who watched my presentation to receive their feedback. The questions were as follows: Is the concept of my media product appealing?  Can you envision my product being real? Would you use my product?  Do you think my product would be successful?  Would you say my product is beneficial for the audience?  Was my presentation easy to follow?  After my presentation, do you have a clear mind about my product?  Was the presentation visually engaging? Did you think there was an appropriate amount of text on each slide?  Is there any room for improvement and if so what?  H

LO5 P8: Be able to present a planned proposal that will widen audience reach through the use of converging technologies

Presentation:  I created this presentation to summarise my product and the different aspects I had researched surrounding my product. I discussed the overview, benefits, costs, target audience, distribution, and marketing methods on these slides. On the end slides, I showed examples of my designs, wireframes, and visualisation diagrams of how I am imagining and planning for my product to look like and be able to use. I then included the link to a survey to gather audience feedback and thanked them for listening.  Video Presentation:  Here is video evidence of my presentation where I go through my created slides and you can hear the feedback from Anne Doncaster, a university lecturer at Sheffield Hallam and an industry professional.  https://youtu.be/tzv5t_MSZdU   Prototype/Designs/Wireframes/Visualisation Diagrams: This is my logo that I designed for MindManage. I wanted to include the name of the product in the logo surrounding by a person's outline. The name of the brand is where

LO4 P7: Create a project proposal specification document for the new product

Image
Create a project proposal specification document for the new product PRODUCT IDEA My idea for a new media product would be to create a new mobile app and website with the purpose of helping and guiding people with their mental health. Some features I am thinking would be included within my mobile app are; a daily mood tracker; tips on how to improve their day-to-day activities; calming background music optional by the user and setting goals within different creatable categories. Some further traits of my mobile app would be a breathing timer to help consumers with anxiety or panic attacks, telling them to breathe in, hold their breath, and release. My product would not hold any communication abilities because I believe that the users should take this time using my product to self-reflect and focus on themselves instead of comparing their progress to their friends or others online. If I did include this, it would also increase the risk of creating low self-esteem issues that directly op

LO4 Report - P6 + M3: Be able to create a proposal using converging technologies to exploit the identified new markets

LO4: Be able to create a proposal using converging technologies to exploit the identified new markets  The purpose of this report is to explain how I am going to exploit new markets regarding the distribution and advertising of my idea for a new media product. I will be covering how my media product is going to be distributed and advertised across different channels and different platforms. For example some channels include social media, web and any of the application stores on mobile phones whereas the platforms would include either mobile technologies (smart phones or touch screen tablets) or fixed technology (which are wired such a computer or laptop) . I will then further go on to explain in more depth the different ways in which I will advertise my product to reach and interact with my product's target audience. I am aiming to do this through various types of advertising cross platform such as through audio-visual products for example video adverts on social media or print pro

LO3 Report - P4 + P5: Be able to illustrate how the legal, ethical, social and moral issues are considered within the product proposal

Image
LO3: Be able to illustrate how the legal, ethical, social and moral issues are considered within the product proposal  Explain your product and how it is affected by legal and regulation issues: My idea for a new interactive media product is a new mobile app and website. This website/app would be focussed on guiding the users to maintaining a healthy state of mental health. It would include features which would help them organise their life or just note down how they were feeling or thinking, or what they have done that day. Furthermore, it would be customisable for each user with different background screen decoration options and optional background music. It would also have an avatar that the users can change to look how they like with different level ups as rewards for completing different activities or streaks if they choose to complete an activity daily.  My created proposal document surrounding the idea for a new interactive media product conforms to meet the legal and regulatory

LO2 Report - P2 + P3 + M2 + D1: Be able to correlate the evolution of new media organisational cultures and roles which have impacted the product proposal.

LO2: Be able to correlate the evolution of new media organisational cultures and roles which have impacted the product proposal.  Due to the growth of social media, globalisation as an idea has developed and come into the world. Globalisation refers to how a media product always holds ideologies coming from the culture it was made in, with media products now being able to be produced, distributed, and consumed across a global scale, these ideologies will be spread along with the media product. Before this new technology changed the marketplace, media organisations were limited in terms of their target audience as they could only create the media products which their country wanted to see.  Now, with the use of the web and social media, media organisations are able to create any media product they want, whether it be mainstream or niche, as they can now reach a much wider, larger audience.  Due to anyone and everyone now being able to have infinite access to any media products, each sep
